The subsidiary in Brazil had its definitive start-up at the end of 2009. This new initiative follows the long-standing international vocation of Fischer & Rechsteiner, placing itself alongside the subsidiaries that have been active for some time in Cyprus, Lebanon and Tunisia.
The basic idea of this initiative was the consideration that Brazil is considered by Fischer & Rechsteiner as a strategic location in Central-South America, an area in which about a third of the company's business is concentrated. As it is known, it is the most important country on the continent, with strong growth potential so to place it among the main countries in the world within a decade.
At the end of 2019, thanks to an agreement with a local operator, F & R-BR has significantly expanded its range of action, offering customers and its agents a wide range of services including customs clearance, road transport of full loads and split deliveries, storage and logistics in specially equipped warehouses. The company carries out its business in several operating points in the country.

The company was born to be a solid and reliable reality for Italian companies already established in Tunisia or looking to this country as a new investment opportunity on a commercial level, as well as to be a reliable international forwarder for Tunisian companies that have relationships with abroad.

The trade name Fischer & Rechsteiner began in 1870 in Venice and soon moved to Switzerland in 1882 as the first Forwarder House of Chiasso, coinciding with the inauguration of the Lucerne-Milan railway line. It then changed from the beginning of the 20th century into "Successors Fischer & Rechsteiner".
Since then many events have alternated, including the establishment of the Fischer & Rechsteiner SA with effect from 1 October 1946".
EAFF ltd have been operating since summer 1999 on their managing director’s, Mr Elias Ayiotis’, initiative.
The head-office is located in Limassol, the most important commercial port in the island, and at present it offers to its local clients groupage and full containers sea services from the principle countries in Europe and Far-East.
FER Fischer & Rechsteiner have a shareholding of 25% since the establishment of the company.

The company was established in the summer 1995 on combined operation at 50% each of its managing director Mr Claude Sleiman and of Fischer & Rechsteiner.
Within a few years SSS have been able to reach a relevant and competitive position on the Lebanese market, thanks to the professional skills of their stuff and to the wide network of foreign agents: nowadays they are a valuable referring point for the Lebanese importers.
An important step in the company development was made at the end of 1998, when the company moved its premises to a new office of its own property, not far from the port and fitted with the most modern equipment to meet the customers’ exigencies.
At present the company’s stuff is composed by about 20 people.

In the portfolio of relationships with agents built since 2000, at the end of 2019 is added Jetway Supply Chain Corporation (JTW), a joint-venture in which F&R participates 1/3 with travel companions Jim Ma (founder of the company) and JB Chang (of Korean nationality, with years of experience in our industry).
JTW (present with its headquarters in Shanghai and other branches in China) has found precisely in F&R and JB two partners with whom to carry out an important development project in the coming years which will be characterized by the continuous economic growth of China (estimated to reach the level of GDP of Europe in 2028 and that of the USA in 2035).
