We organize shipments by sea, both import and export, both FCL with full containers and LCL groupage shipments.
We offer a global and integrated management of maritime transports from the loading point at origin to delivery at destination, thanks to consolidated collaboration with the major shipping lines and to a selected network of professional agents. We provide a rapid sea transport service with customized solutions, documentary and logistics planning, precise data on booking and arrival updating and good shipping container prices. Based on transit-time needs, we have the flexibility to offer carriers with fast navigation times. For maritime transports, our customers can also benefit from a series of facilities ranging from customs consultancy, to buyer consolidations, warehousing and distribution, counting on our AEO certification.
All sea shipments, both import and export, even the smallest groupage, can benefit from shipping in containers/trailers, with all the security that containerization offers, and are represented by a documentary and negotiable bill of lading. Departures are regular on a multi-weekly basis: our consolidated relationships with the main shipping lines that operate on the routes we serve allow us high flexibility in container booking and their direct management at our terminal.

Upon request and based on the needs of Italian and foreign customers, we load and coordinate combined containers, both import and export, with goods from the same supplier addressed to different consignees (FCL/LCL) or with goods from various Italian suppliers for the same consignee abroad (LCL/FCL). We get in touch with suppliers by verifying the readiness of the goods and the dimensions and characteristics of the various cargoes which we then combine by optimizing the spaces in the containers as well as the pick-up times and places.
Use of transporters specialized in the movement of refrigerated containers, possibility of supplying data loggers to be inserted into the containers for temperature control.
If requested, we have the possibility of quickly collecting the goods directly from the sender’s home using the vehicles in our fleet and, for imports, delivering them to the consignee.
In our equipped warehouses of 4,000 m2 it is possible to leave the goods in storage before or after shipment.
Upon request, we also provide adequate packages (boxes – pallets – cages) and correct labeling of the packages. In partnership with selected specialized operators, we offer solutions for packaging goods suitable for sea transport, as well as air and land transport, offering thus our clients synergies in terms of optimizing shipping times.

To facilitate the often difficult bureaucratic import/export operations, upon request, we assist our customers in filling out their documents. We then issue and supervise all kinds of documents depending on the type of shipment: foreign documentation where required, documents legalization and consular visas, assistance in obtaining Chamber of Commerce licenses, analysis of Letters of Credit, Customs formalities, Certificates of Origin, Fumigation Certificate, obtaining authorizations.
We issue every type of “bill of lading” directly at our offices, based on the sales documents. As it is known, the “bill of lading” is an important, indeed fundamental, document in maritime transport: Fischer & Rechsteiner is able to issue directly, based on the specific needs of the customer (and on any clauses imposed by the letter of credit), each type of bill of lading necessary for compliance with the transport conditions and, consequently, for the negotiation of credit by the sender with the banks (“Fiata bill of lading”, “F&R/house bill of lading” and “Ocean bill of lading” of which F&R is only carrier).
Submission of documents directly to foreign banks in real time in relation with respect to transport times (and under our responsibility). This is an important element, especially for lines with short T/T (such as for shipments to the Mediterranean). The fact that the CAD can be quickly managed at destination is a factor generally appreciated by both the senders and the consignees.
Through an insurance broker connected to us, we issue the insurance certificate directly at our offices. The insurance premiums offered are among the lowest on the market and, should accidents occur, the settlement of the damage is extremely fast.
